Naval Air Systems Command seeks research that can help it improve the digitization of its operations

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Digital Group (NDG) is seeking white papers for science and technology projects which offer potential for advancing and improving the digitzation of NAVAIR/U.S. Naval operations, the organization announced.

NAVAIR wants white papers/proposals related to basic and applied research. This project is intended for prototype projects directly relevant to enhancing the mission effectiveness of military personnel and the supporting platforms, systems, components, or materials proposed to be acquired or developed by the Department of Defense. The research can also be for the improvement of platforms, systems, components, or materials in use by the armed forces. 

NAVAIR has identified various research areas needed to address digital transformation challenges, problems, and future technology needs. Research opportunity areas of interest include, but are not limited to: 

  • Data Architecture and Management
  • Predictive Analytics/Business Intelligence/Visualization
  • Development Security Operations (DevSecOps)
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning
  • Business Transformation
  • Digital/Data Careers and Organizational Strategies
  • Digital Innovation / Emerging Technologies / Disruptive Digital Technology
