Army wants industry to provide R&D services to develop a cyber intelligence and electronic warfare system
Army officials want to develop a cyber intelligence and surveillance system that uses software and hardware, the Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground announced.
The command wants to identify companies that have Internal Research and Development dollars to design the system.
The Army defined a suite of open architecture standards named CMOSS to enable the reduction of C5ISR system size, weight and power – cooling (SWaP-C) and ensure commonality across multiple platforms by enabling the sharing of hardware and software components. The Terrestrial Layer System – Small (TLS-S) prototype platform will be used for operational assessment of these architectures.
The intent of the project is for the Army to have open access through a Software Development Kit or application frameworks so as to rapidly develop techniques and/or install existing 3rd party applications rapidly onto SDR cards. The SDR card shall be able to store and concurrently run multiple techniques.
Companies can submit proposals for the following:
- Hardware Only – Develop SDR only
- Software Only – Develop Electronic Warfare Application software only
- Joint Solution
Responses are due November 30. For more information and to submit a proposal visit the announcement HERE.
