Air Force 52nd Contracting Squadron plans to upgrade its parachute simulator system
The 52d Contracting Squadron will award a contract to Systems Technology, Inc for a parachute simulator training update to the company’s “ParaSim” tool.
According to the Sam.gov announcement, the requirements for the upgrade include:
- PARASIM System Upgrade to Version 7
- PARASIM Head Mounted Display w/ Multiple Head Mounts
- PARASIM Controller Box
- PARASIM 3-Day Site Visit (OCONUS)
The PARASIM Virtual Reality Parachute Simulator System is a proprietary stand-alone simulation system created by Systems Technology. The associated hardware components and software features are only manufactured for the PARASIM military parachute simulator.
Currently Spangdahlem Air Force Base has version 6 of the parachute simulator “ParaSim” and it requires the upgrade to version 7 to be operational, according to the announcement.
