US Copyright Office is seeking automated warehouse management and tracking software
The Library of Congress is searching for warehouse software for the US Copyright Office in an effort to migrate away from the outdated tracking and inventory processes currently used by USCO.
The Copyright Office wants a commercially available automated warehouse management & asset tracking solution, according to the announcement.
The solution must achieve the following outcomes:
- Shorten retrieval times for deposits and records to and from the warehouse
- Provide the ability to regularly conduct inventory reconciliation
- Increase reference information about assets
- Allow for timely disposal and disposition notice
- Maximize process automation to reduce the manual workarounds required for managing assets
- Provide the ability to integrate with existing and future USCO electronic Information Technology systems
- Provide the ability to migrate asset information from existing USCO electronic IT systems and hardcopy
- Provide the ability to track and update categories of assets based on factors such as significance, class, type, retention, and status
- Generate metrics, dashboards, and reports that are actionable and contribute towards real-time reporting and improved operational management of assets
- Provide real-time location information at the asset level while in storage at the warehouse
- Provide Chain-of-custody tracking for assets while they are away from the warehouse
