US Patent and Trademark Office to hold virtual artificial intelligence/emerging technology small business event April 28

The US Patent and Trademark Office will hold a  Virtual Artificial Intelligence/Emerging Technology Small Business Event April 28 from 9 am – noon, the agency announced. 

The format will include virtual panels and briefings from various USPTO departments and the possibility for one-on-one capabilities briefings between these groups and the participating small businesses at a later date.

The purpose of the event is to foster collaboration, networking, and business partnerships with the focus on 8(a) Businesses and HUBZone Businesses. Large businesses, small businesses, small disadvantaged owned businesses, women owned businesses, service disabled veteran owned businesses, veteran owned small businesses are also encouraged to participate, according to USPTO.

In addition:

  • There is no cost to attend for USPTO Employees (Must use uspto.gov email)
  • The cost to attend as a Small Business is $50.00
  • The cost to attend as a Prime/Large Business is $125.00
  • The USPTO Virtual Artificial Intelligence/Emerging Technology Small Business Event is only open to Industry.
  • Registration ends on 4/27/2021 at noon EDT
