Navy contract aims to maintain and evolve autonomous and unmanned systems and platforms

The U.S. Navy plans to support current and future autonomous and unmanned systems under a new request for information.

The new contract will focus on platform development, acquisition, and sustainment programs, including exercises, experiments, demonstrations, tests, and trials. 

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division are looking for products and/or services that are within thirteen functional areas. 

Items to be provided under this contract are categorized into the following Functional Areas:

1. Payload Integration 

2. Non-Payload Sensors 

3. Enabling Capabilities and Technologies 

4. Autonomy and Vehicle Control Systems 

5. Ashore and Host Platform Elements 

6. Product Support Management 

7. Test and Evaluation Support 

8. Lab Support 

9. Experimentation and Demonstration Support 

10. Prototyping 

11. Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience 

12. Software Support 

13.  Modeling and Simulation
