Jan. 25 town hall to examine how to improve Air Force acquisition strategy; IT architects, network engineers, program managers, cybersecurity specialists invited to participate

The Air Force wants to work with IT professionals to create an improved acquisition strategy.

The Secretary of the Air Force Concepts, Development and Management wants input from senior-level IT architects, system and network engineers, program managers, cybersecurity specialists, system administrators, program administrators and program specialists in this effort, according to an announcement. 

A town hall on the project will be held via Zoom Webinar for Government on January 25 at 1:30 pm ET. View the login information HERE. 

Air Force officials intend to use information gathered from these interactions to gain an awareness of capabilities, determine interested parties, and to support formulation of an acquisition strategy, according to the announcement. 

“Early industry involvement in creating a properly scaled enterprise solution is critical to the success of this contemplated acquisition,” according to Air Force officials.  “The goal is providing SAF/CDM and its customers with superior and cost-effective technical service support.”
