Job Announcement: VA Informational Technology Specialist to develop, design, implement and manage reporting in support of COVID
The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for an Information Technology Specialist as part of the agency’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency announced.
The employee would serve as an IT Specialist responsible with a range of duties associated with supporting one or more IT Specialty areas.
Duties include providing daily support, development, design, implementation and management of reporting in support of COVID, according to the announcement.
The candidate would work in IT Operations and Services, Service Management and Planning, Service Delivery Management, Performance Reporting Office.
The GS-13 level job has a salary range of $78,681 to $102,288 per year. Applications must be submitted by December 31.
Among the skills required for the job are:
- Tracking and monitoring the data warehouse and reporting application on a continual basis;
- formulating long and short-range projects in the modification of systems, software, hardware, and networks;
- performing life cycle management;
- conducting hands-on testing of products;
- experience with software engineering methodologies, computer operating and application software, data communications, and computer hardware;
- evaluate state-of-the art products, performing studies, and developing future plans for application, installation, and development within software engineering standards.
