Radio and TV content from Tony Scott Productions sought under Defense Dept. request for the American Forces Network

The Department of Defense wants to distribute and broadcast radio and TV content from Tony Scott Production via the American Forces Network, according to a SAM.gov announcement.

The DOD’s Defense Media Activity wants to distribute and broadcast professionally hosted and branded radio music services, and nationally syndicated audio content, and provide online affiliate access to music under the contract.

AFN also seeks to acquire a broadcast rights to television programming licensed by Tony Scott Productions.

This purchase of the programming is to enable the American Forces Network – Broadcast Center to support the American Forces Network mission. AFN currently support troops around the world and afloat.

According to the post, “The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code for this requirement is 515111, with the corresponding size standard of $38.5 million.”

Under the contract, Tony Scott Productions will provide a daily, 90 second customized American Forces Network radio feature titled “AFN Rock Radar.” The contractor will also produce promotional spots or image liners, to promote AFN’s Rock Radar and AFN Radio, to the American Forces Network- Broadcast Center.

The AFN also want the ability to request that the contractor provide feeds of programming to which the contractor does not hold distribution rights, such as sports, awards shows and other programming for which third parties own distribution rights.
