Navy seeks virtual firearms training system
Navy officials plan to purchase virtual firearm training technology for Navy reserve units, under a new $2 million contract with Conflict Kinetics Corp.
The technology will be used to develop and certify teams and individual firearm qualifications prior to live fire drills, according to the announcement.
Under the contract, Conflict Kinetics Corp. will provide tactical firearm synthetic trainers, software license agreements and technical support, weapons maintenance station, simulator compressed air charging station and magazines. The company will also provide “train the trainer” training along with customized support enable the Navy to build Littoral Combat Ships specific training curriculum.
