Texas Military Dept. looking for media monitoring software
The Texas Military Department — which includes the Texas Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, and the Texas State Guard — is searching for media monitoring software to track news sources and social media.
The organization wants the monitoring system to be software as a service, according to the Sam.gov posting.
The media monitoring software should enable the TMD to monitor and analyze conversations, articles, stories, and posts related to the department.
According to the solicitation, “By monitoring print, broadcast, and social media mediums, extracting intelligence from unstructured online and offline data, the public affairs office will be able to provide senior leadership with comprehensive metrics related to public and command information. Insights can be delivered through analytics, dashboards, reports, etc. and will allow staff to be more proactive with media by identifying trending conversations across all channels.”
TMD also plans to use the platform for distributing press releases and other relevant information to the media.
“With a comprehensive media database, the public affairs office will be able to create customizable distribution lists based on location, keywords, and ‘beats,’ as well as search for information about an individual and/or outlet/organization by ‘beat,’ location, reach, social echo, name, role, and designated market area,” it states.
With the Texas National Guard’s regular involvement with its overseas state partners and deployments, Software must provide the organization translation capabilities directly through the platform.
